first of all: the first, original dress (green) unfortunately doesn't fit at all - it's much shorter than the measurements given, the sleeves don't close. The second dress fits well and turned out really nice. However, it is not my dream fabric... because:
The choice of fabrics was unfortunately not what I had hoped for: the one I found on the internet was not available - of course, this could not have been expected. However, I would have liked to be able to choose from a slightly larger variety of fabrics. It is, after all, very much a matter of taste what exactly one finds beautiful in fabric, and it is perhaps not always so well communicated that someone who does not know the taste of the other person can make a really happy pre-selection. So - better than a little pre-selection by the artisan - next time it would actually be one or more photos of the whole fabric rack or fabric shop. I would be very happy to pay more for this extra service, after all, it would give me the opportunity to choose exactly what I like from the huge variety and awesome splendour of Waxprint fabrics! If that were possible, I would be very happy to try my hand at the next project right away!!!” — Automated Translation (14. January 2021)
