Hallo Alfred.
Am happy to provide an offer to your idea. You have given the dimension 40mm x80mm, but what is the height of the identical trays.
Thank you.

Hello Esther,
8cm
The cutlery box has external dimensions from 34cm to 30cm in the height of 8cm.
The divisions are three compartments 24cm high and one 8cm, and two 11cm wide and the cross compartment about 5cm wide and 34cm long
I had sent you a sketch.

Hey Alfred. This is Ryan. I will be taking your idea from here. If you do not mind, could you describe the dimensions again. I do not understand the sketch.
Hello Alfred,
My name is Ryan and I'd love to make an offer for your idea. Due to unfortunate and unavoidable circumstance, I had to take over from Esther.
So, about your order. Could you kindly check on your sketch again and resend it as it seems incomplete without the partitions overview and the different dimensions hence it's a bit difficult to understand what goes where
Kind regards,
Ryan

Hello Alfred. I have drawn a sketch of the same. Let me know if it is in line with your idea. Thanks.
Hello Alfred.
I have drawn and attached a sketch of the same. Let me know if it is in line with your idea. Also, what material would you like for your trays and upon finishing, do you prefer oil or vanish?
Regards,
Ryan

Dear Rayen
Looks great.
Material: Dark wood
Finishing with varnish.
Please provide your offer.
Thank you.
Alfred
Hello Alfred,
My name is lucas and due to personal reasons, I'll be taking over this request from Ryan. I've been thoroughly debriefed and I understand your specifics. From your interest in dark wood, I'd highly recommend mahogany which is of highest quality. I've indicated the prices of the costs of the material and labour. Let me know what your way forward is so that I can begin realization as soon as possible.
Regards,
Lucas.

Okay good luck
Hello Alfred,
I have now sourced the material and in the process of cutting them up according to your specifications. I'm currently working on the outer dimensions and you should be able to see something more tangible this Friday. Please find attached videos and photos of the process

Okay, thanks.
Hello Alfred,
Apologies for the delay. I have completed the outside dimensions of 340*300mm. I have a concern that's just arised though. The internal measurements you've given of 115*115*80, if you subtract that from 340mm all you have left is 30mm. Ideally, I would divide this into two to get the thickness of the internal compartments which is 15mm each.
But if you are to add this when making each compartments at a time, the last compartment will only be about 78mm. I began with the 80mm then onto the thickness of 15mm then onto 115mm then a thickness of 15mm but as I was measuring the last compartment, it came to only 78mm contrary to the 115 mm that we expected. Please advice me on what to do as the external measurements are already complete.
Regards,
Lucas
Hello Alfred,
Many apologies for the delay. Hope you are well. I'm finishing the first tray. The glue is now drying up. Find attached Photos and videos of the process. I used a thickness of 10mm all round as 5mm would have been a bit too thin of I'd advice.
i'd previously used 20mm which made it too thick and I had to go back and restart and this took a bit longer to finish hence the late response. I've attached photos of the same to show the variations between the two. The final box though has the outer dimensions as 340*300mm as stated. Compartments are 115*115*68mm though this may be because of the thickness used. Will that be an issue? I'll be fixing the bottom part of the tray tomorrow.
Also I just realized that I might have made a mistake when making my quote for the trays.i quoted one instead of two. If you could refer to previous trays that I've done, you'll see the difference eg Cutlery box with the outer dimensions…26x21x4 cm made of wood (dark) https://www.urbanchangelab.com/cutlery-box-with-the-outer-dimensions-26x21x4-cm-made-of-wood-dark/
Three cutlery boxes https://www.urbanchangelab.com/three-cutlery-boxes/
If you'll be okay with this, I'd request that you send another 43.13€
If this will not be possible, I have relayed the same information to the Urban Change lab and I and Urban Change Lab will take full responsibility for this to cover the cost.
Regards,
Lucas.

Dear Lucas
You are a real African😊
Make me a good price for the second box, if I am satisfied, more orders will follow.
Best regards
Alfred
Hi Alfred,
Thank you for your response. The tray is complete. I'm not sure about Africans but I'm a true Luo 😊. I deliver Swiss precision and I'm sure you'll love what I have done (find attached videos) I'm yet to do final touches with varnish.
Unfortunately, with the amount of labor put into this product including the cost of Mahogany which is of highest quality, it will be difficult to go any further below the already indicated price of 43.13€
Kindly let me know what your way forward is.
Regards,
Lucas.

Dear Lucas
Get a box ready. Then we'll keep looking.
The cutlery tray goes into a drawer, you can't see it. That's why you didn't have to use such expensive wood.
Best regards Alfred
Hi Alfred,
Thank you for the feedback. I understand your concerns. Please find attached photos and a video of the first box. I hope you like it. I'm getting ready to source the materials for the second.
How do you propose we proceed? As I said the costs will be covered by the Urban Change Lab if you aren't comfortable with this as the fault was on my end when making the quote. Will you be sending the other 43,13€? I'd just like a confirmation on that kindly.
Sincerely,
Lucas.

Hello Alfred

Thank you for the opportunity. I enjoyed realizing the product and I hope you like it
