This Custom Stackable Cutlery Tray Set 50×41 cm was made by Paul Kiarie for a drawer that needed two matching wooden inserts stacked one above the other. It is a useful example for anyone planning a custom drawer organizer with exact dimensions, angled compartments and a secure stacked fit.

Request: The project called for two identical cutlery trays in light-toned wood, sized to fit a drawer around 50 × 41 cm, with side cut-out handles for lifting and a layout for everyday and serving cutlery.
Final result: Paul completed a pair of stackable cypress wood inserts in natural untreated wood, and the finished set arrived with the exact drawer fit the customer wanted.
Design details: The trays used angled dividers, consistent wood thickness throughout, smooth sanded surfaces and added wooden strips underneath one tray so it could sit neatly and tightly on top of the other.
Fit and use: This kind of custom cutlery tray set works well when drawer height allows vertical stacking and you want to double storage without losing easy access to forks, knives, spoons, small cutlery and serving pieces.

Bespoke cutlery tray – I would like two identical inserts in a light wood; both inserts should be on top of each other in a drawer, so stackable. The drawer has a height of 135mm.
To make it easier to remove the inserts from the drawer, it would be nice if they each had handles on the narrow side.
