View material & custom-made details

This bespoke leather wallet with zip & ID window was made by Caroline Gatwiri Gichuru as a compact everyday leather wallet in black, red, and gold. It is a useful example for anyone planning a custom trifold-style wallet with card storage, a clear ID section, and a secure zipped compartment.

  • Request: The project called for a sturdy daily-use wallet with a three-color leather design, multiple card slots, a bill section, and the folded look and function of a classic long wallet.
  • Final result: The finished wallet combined one transparent ID-style window with one zippered compartment, plus a larger rear section for bills and papers, balancing the original idea with what worked best in the final layout.
  • Design details: Black, red, and gold leather gave the wallet a bold contrast, while the interior stayed mostly leather for durability, with only one clear insert used where visibility was most useful.
  • Fit and use: The completed size came to about 27 x 12.8 cm when open, 18 x 12.8 cm when half folded, and 12.8 x 9.8 cm when fully folded, making it compact enough for everyday carrying while still offering organized storage.
  • Process: The making process included leather selection, layout planning, cutting, stitching, and shared progress updates, and the finished piece was well received as a gift that arrived on time and matched expectations.

OK. Thanks.

Caroline Gatwiri Gichuru (13. July 2026)

Hello, kindly advice i have a lay out of the wallet inner part, it has come to my realization we cannot have 2 transparent liners and same time a zipper pocket. We either have a one zipper pocket and a transparent pocket liner or two transparent pocket liner without zipper pocket.
Thank you,
Caroline

I'm really curious.

Caroline Gatwiri Gichuru (14. July 2026)

Hello,
How are you today?
Here is our idea realization we have achieved 27cm* 12.8 cm when open and 18cm* 12.8cm when half fold and 12.8cm * 9.8cm when full fold this is due to stiching and finishing.
Kindly comfirm if you are comfortable with it for shipping.
Thanks,
Caroline.

Hi Caroline. It looks great. Everything is ready to be shipped. Did you think of using a compartment with a transparent insert?
If so, then everything’s fine.
Best regards,

Caroline Gatwiri Gichuru (14. July 2026)

There is one transparent compartment as we agreed, the rest is leather for durability.
