Thank you for your details of the drawing.
Now on the right of 50cm is it divided into six sections or it is one.
Two on the left it will be divided into two that's 27cm ÷2 = 13.5 cm
And what is the thickness .
The dark wood is mahogany.

left side is ok as it is 2x 13.5 cm - the knife block should be able to accommodate 6 knives in the thickness of 5 cm, the right side of the knife block should be sunk for the knife handle pad. Should no beech or walnut be available we would also take mahogany. LG Achim

The 5cm is the height not the thickness. The thickness of the outside will be more thicker than the one inside for partioning.

Hello, Esther,
the 6 cutting edges should be sunk in the knife block ('Messerblock' in the drawing) on the right side of the drawer. The handles should rest on the right outside within the drawer.
If walnut is not available mahogany is also OK.
I ask for a short feedback before awarding the contract!

Hi, the blades should be sunk into the wood on the left side of the knife block and the handles of the knives should rest on the wood to the right. The knife block would then have a blade height of about 5 cm and the surface for the handles on the right about 1 cm in height. The overall size of the knife block remains at 50 cm x 27 cm as in the drawing - Walnut would be Ok!

Hello Esther, the knife block is 50cm wide & 27 cm deep - the length of the knife blades in the block 30 cm, the supports for the knife handles 20 cm!

I have done a review of the drawer insert and below are my comments.
1. The quality of wood is very good and up to standard.
2. On the section of the knife block, I have noticed the knives don't completely sink into the wood and there is a part of the knife blade that can be seen.
3. In terms of measurement of the width. At both ends of the insert the measurement comes to 27.1 cm and on the section of the knife block the width is measuring 27.6 cm, however the insert looks very straight and the only time it is noticed is after measuring accurately.
4. On the height, 90 percent of the insert is 5 cm as you request but there is a small section that is 4.8 cm. This is a very minor difference and can't be noticed by looking as in general everything looks very nice.
I believe the above comments are important.
