The custom zippered sofa cushion covers set was made as a coordinated spring update for a sofa, with six removable covers sewn by Hannah Njenga. This project is a useful example for anyone considering custom cushion covers in specific sizes, colors, and mixed patterned-and-plain combinations.
- Request: The finished set included 4 square cushion covers and 2 rectangular cushion covers, all made without inner fillings and all finished with zippers for easy removal.
- Final result: Hannah completed the covers in two matching looks: patterned square covers in grey and white with lime green dots, and rectangular covers in a solid yolk yellow.
- Design details: The customer wanted a fresh spring feel with green, yellow, white, and grey, and the final fabric choice kept that palette while giving the sofa a brighter, more playful look through circles and dot-inspired patterning.
- Fit and use: The square covers were made for 36 × 36 cm cushions, and the rectangular covers were made for 44 × 22 cm cushions, showing how custom sewing can help when standard home textile sizes are not the right fit.
- Process: Progress photos showed the selected fabric, cut pieces, sewing stages, and final covers, and the completed set was later confirmed to have arrived safely and matched the requested design.

Many thanks for your reply. I am pleased that you will sew the requested pillow cases. I enclose a photo of Design which I like. I love circles, dots and something else and I ike also the colours green, yellow, white, and grey. Maybe you can find a cloth similar to these colours. Four pillow cases should have the following dimensions: 36 × 36cm each and two pillow cases should be 44 × 22cm, each! The four should have the same design and the smaller one should be all one colour, for example yellow. I am looking forward to your proposal and many greetings to Nairobi.

Sorry that I am a little late with my new answer. I enclose also a drawing, the small case is okay, the bigger one should be solid cloth, no patches on the case. Both cases should have a zipper. Is it correct that one case will cost €56,50?
I hope I am not to complicated. Sorry for that.

No patch work just solid upholstery fabric, patterned for the small ones and plain colour for the big ones. All should also have zippers. I understand. Good evening Elisabeth, here is the fabric I got. The pictures aren't very clear but it's a nice yolk yellow for the big ones and lime green dots on the grey and white patterned fabric. Included are also images of the cut fabric and sewing process. I've finished one yellow and one patterned pillow case. The rest will be completed by Tomorrow evening ready for shipping
