The idea from Adriana from Langenhagen:
I would like to have a wallet that ideally meets the following requirements:
– Colour: I like black, grey, bordeaux and blue. It depends on the exact colour combination, but mostly I don't like colourful and shrill things.
– Patterns are not mandatory. In this respect I am more practically oriented (see "Practical experience before optics"). If there should/could/would be any, then owls or sun/moon/stars/sky.
– Fabric: Light; the wallet itself must weigh as little as possible or be as light as possible (I deliberately chose the word "must"). Leather would be the least good alternative…
– Practice before optics. I would like to use the wallet for years and store it "recklessly" without worrying about it.
– When opening the wallet, the contents should only be visible to me (see photo of my current wallet).
If my ideas are not realistic, please let me know. We will then see together to what extent I could live with compromises. 🙂
I would be pleased about a non-binding offer under the indication of the approximate production and/or delivery time.
Thank you very much.
The customer's rating:
Dear Isabelle,
I like the purse. Not only does it look high quality, but it is also well made.
However, one of my ideas was not taken into account, namely the weight. Unfortunately my new wallet is much heavier than my old one. Therefore I am not "very satisfied" with this article.
I thank you and wish you all the best.
Many greetings
Adriana
The story of the Custom made wallet:
Negotiation phase
Trust you are well.
I am happy to make the wallet for you. Attached please see one of my wallet I have done.
I have seen your images of the wallet and it is all doable. I am happy do do it in leather similar to the one in my wallet and yours.
I have take keen note on your wallet constructions to ensure privacy of what is inside.
Let me know if we can make the wallet.
Regards
Isabel
Hello, Isabel,
I'm fine, thank you. I hope you are, too.
Thank you very much for the offer. There's another thing I'd like to say:
1) My leather wallet is already heavy when empty. With money/cards/coins and a lot of other things in my pocket it is really too heavy for me. Would it be possible to make the purse out of a different material?
2) When opening the wallet, the contents may only be visible to me. As you can see on the photos of my current wallet. Would it be possible?
I would appreciate an answer.
Kind regards
Adriana
Thanks for your quick response.
Here is my Answers.
a. Wallet materials- I can give you to options. Option 1-We can make the wallet using Goat leather which is super soft and very light just as cloth compared to cow leather.
Option 2- We can make the wallet using African Fabrics (Kitenge). They are beautiful but often very vibrant and not as long lasting as the leather.
b.Yes it is possible to design and make the wallet as per your wallet so that the contents are only visible to you.
Hope I have been able to answer your questions.
Many Thanks
Isabell
Hello, Isabelle,
thank you for the quick feedback.
1) My empty wallet weighs 146 grams. For comparison, this wallet https://www.paprcuts.de/product/1549 weighs only 73 g. Could you estimate the weight of the wallet made of leather and African fabrics?
2) Are the African fabrics multicoloured or also plain? Unfortunately I do not know anything about it. 🙁
Stay healthy.
Many greetings
Adriana
Many thanks for your response.
We can definitely do a light weight wallet using the goat leather (Nappa) and Kitenge..(African print fabric).
Most Kitenges are colourful and rarely plain. I have attached a few example. But very light as they are 100%cotton.
The kitenge will be used to line the wallet. Otherwise we can just use plain cotton fabric.

Isabel
Hello, Isabelle,
Thank you for the explanation and your patience with me. 🙂
I rely on the fact that a wallet made of goatskin (nappa) is light and therefore I agree with it.
As for the lining of the wallet, I find the checkered brown-blue fabric beautiful.
Thank you very much.
Best regards
Adriana
I am ready to start on this project.
