The idea from Kartini from Berlin:
I really like the wax print bomber jacket that I saw on your website. I would like the same for myself, also made by Nyambura Irungu. I can send you my measurements in another message. Could you please send me a few options for different fabrics? I like vivid colours and interesting shapes.
The story of the Custom made wax print bomber jacket:
I shall send you a couple of fabric options by end of day tomorrow.
Thanks for those images. I'm looking for a slightly different print. I attached some images I found online as examples of what I like.
I hope this can help in your search for fabric.
Please have a look at these and let me know your thoughts.
Wow, these are great! I had a hard time deciding, but now I chose the black and yellow flower pattern. I attached it in my photos, just to be sure. I will send you my measurements on the weekend. Can you please tell me what to measure?
I'm so glad you liked them!
The black and yellow is an excellent choice and it's priced at 2000/-.
For the measurements, please send:
Nape to Waist- this is the length from the back neck to the waist:
Nape to Waist- this is the length from the back neck to the waist: 47
Sleeve length: 56
Jacket length: 54
I wanted to ask if additional costs will apply for the international shipping (as of now this field is blank), as the cost of this project is higher than I had anticipated. Could you please let me know so I can decide whether to proceed or not? Thank you.
I prefer a black jersey lining. Just letting you know so that you can best calculate expected costs.
Thank you for the measurements and letting me know your preferred lining.
As regards additional costs, Urban Change Lab will indicate the cost of shipping. The difference in pricing between your project and Jessie's is that his was done and delivered to him locally thus some costs were not applied.
I hope this gives you a clearer picture and thank you once again.
Thank you for confirming the order.
I shall be done by Mid morning coming Monday and will keep you updated on progress.
Here we are so far.
These are photos of the jacket pattern pieces; front, back and sleeves, as well as photos of the pieces joined together for both jacket and lining.
We are still on track for completion tomorrow.
So here we are with the final look, packed and ready.
I hope you like it!
