The Bespoke Leather Randoseru Backpack Set was created by Stella Gikonyo as a matching pair of structured leather backpacks for carrying work and travel essentials in one coordinated set. This completed project is a useful example for anyone exploring a custom leather backpack with large capacity, multiple compartments, adjustable closure height and a bold hair-on leather flap.
- Request: The brief focused on a unisex randoseru-style backpack design in smooth black leather, later expanded into two matching backpacks with the same tricolor hair-on leather front flap, top handles, adjustable shoulder straps, side access and metal feet on the base.
- Final result: The finished set included one extra-large backpack and one smaller companion backpack, both made in black leather with a structured silhouette and matching flap design. The larger bag was completed with hand-luggage use in mind, while the smaller bag kept the same visual language in a more compact format.
- Design details: Visible details included smooth leather on the outside, leather lining, buckle closure, zip access at the back and side, reinforced top handles and compartment layouts planned for organized packing. The front flap used tricolor hair-on cowhide to give both bags a distinctive, high-contrast finish.
- Fit and use: This set was designed for someone who wanted to replace several separate bags with one main backpack system, with room for documents, everyday gear and tech.
