This Custom Pine Cutlery Tray Set 48×47 & 30×47 cm was made by Paul Kiarie as a two-piece drawer organizer in light wood for a specific kitchen layout. It is a useful example for anyone planning custom wooden cutlery trays with exact outer dimensions, a simple natural finish and different compartment needs across two drawers or drawer sections.

  • Request: The project called for two matching cutlery trays: one larger tray at 48 × 47 cm with divided sections based on a layout drawing, and one smaller tray at 30 × 47 cm without internal splits.
  • Final result: The finished set was made in pine with a clear wax polish rather than a shiny lacquer, giving the trays a light colour, visible wood grain and a more natural kitchen-friendly look.
  • Design details: The larger tray included long compartments for cutlery organization, while the second tray stayed open for more flexible storage. The wood was planed to a slim thickness to keep the trays light and practical for everyday drawer use.
